SALAH HEADING FOR EXIT?

The Mirror writes that Mohamed Salah could be entering his final season as a Liverpool player after the Reds refused to meet his demands for a new contract.

Salah is entering the final year of his Anfield deal, and the newspaper believes a departure on a free transfer is the likeliest outcome as things stand.

Liverpool don’t want to change their long-standing wage structure to keep the Egyptian on Merseyside, and an agreement hasn’t been reached in talks between the club and player.

LUKAKU TO SIGN FOR INTER THIS WEEK

Romelu Lukaku will complete his loan move from Chelsea to Inter Milan by Thursday, according to Sky in Italy.

The Serie A giants need to complete the move by then for tax reasons and no complications are expected, as the Belgian is on holiday in Sardinia and will fly to Milan to undergo a medical and sign the paperwork in the next few days.

Manchester United are close to reaching a compromise with Barcelona over a transfer fee for Frenkie de Jong, according to Sky Sports News.

Arsenal have announced the signing of goalkeeper Matt Turner from MLS side New England Revolution.

The USA international has penned a ‘long-term contract’ at the Emirates, although the exact length of the deal isn’t specified.

WEST HAM WANT BROJA

West Ham will make a bid of around £30m for Chelsea striker Armando Broja, according to Sky Sports News, while the Hammers are also interested in James Ward-Prowse of Southampton and Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma.

Broja, who scored nine goals for Saints last season on loan, is the Hammers’ top striker target, but the St Mary’s club also want to sign him.

Ward-Prowse remains a target, although his price would be high, while Danjuma is of interest and has a £40m release clause in Spain.

Fulham have offered £8.6m for Manchester United’s attacking midfielder Andreas Pereira, according to the BBC.

The Brazilian spent last season on loan at Flamengo and has one year left on his Old Trafford deal, with the option of a further year, but he’s unlikely to stay and feature under new boss Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United have a £100m budget with which to rebuild their squad this summer, according to the Sun.

That’s the amount of cash available before any sales, in a window where new boss Erik ten Hag hopes to bring in Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong this week in a deal worth around £67m.

That could be most of the summer transfer kitty, though, as United are having to tighten the purse strings after years of heavy spending.

Some news has come out of Stamford Bridge this morning, as Chelsea legend Petr Cech has stepped down from his role as ‘Technical and Performance Advisor’.

The former goalkeeper, who held the position for the last three years, said: “I feel now is the right time for me to step aside. I am pleased that the club is now in an excellent position with the new owners, and I am confident of its future success both on and off the pitch.”
