Ottawa Weather: Wear sunscreen. The warm July temperatures are here

The UV index will be very high in Ottawa on Friday as warm July weather arrives — and will likely stick around all weekend, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.

It will be sunny, the agency predicts, with a high of 27 C, which will feel like 30 C with the humidity.

The UV index will be nine, near its highest level.

The few clouds that linger will depart this evening, leaving clear skies and temperatures dropping to 11 C.

Saturday and Sunday will also be sunny, with highs of 24 C and 26 C respectively, and clear skies at night. Clouds are expected to return on Monday, although the warm temperatures will stick around with a high of 24 C and the potential for rain in the evening.

The average high for this time of year is 26.3 C and the average low is 15.1 C.
